Lore:
Fang awoke in the basement of an old ruined building, his body badly damaged from wear and tear. He repaired the worst of it but wasn't able to leave or move much, so instead he waited for someone to find him - and it took months before he was finally found by Aya and her commander.
At first the commander was wary of helping Fang, but when Fang asked to be killed rather than left alone again, Aya took the initiative to help. She brought him back to the Guardian HQ, where he got repaired properly... But with nowhere to go and no memories at all, he couldn't be discharged. He was instead given Guardian status and assigned to captain Theo's squad, and from there began to learn about the world.
Personality:
Fang is obliging and goes with the flow a lot, trusting others know better than him. He doesn't know what to do if left on his own, so he prefers to follow someone else around - usually Aya, Theo or Cirocco, but if they aren't available anyone will do. If someone neglects their needs he tries to nudge them into taking care of themselves, but doesn't go further than requests (and maybe subconscious puppy eyes). He's particularly protective of Aya and tends to take her side, following whatever she wants to do.
Fang has limitless patience and can wait for weeks without much complaint, even if it means sitting for days in a public hallway. This waiting time is spent tinkering with nearby items to improve them, sleeping, or people-watching - though if he's not waiting for something, he isn't immune to boredom.
Physical notes:
He's tall! Taller than Aya or Sonci, and WAY taller than Theo.
His ponytail is made of strands of metal. It's like real hair, but not! It is a pain to brush. Aya has tried anyway.
Fang's a much older model than anyone else in the setting. As a result, he's immune to corruption! He's also a bit more troublesome to repair than you'd expect, though.
Other notes:
Fang is a major character in Sonci's story, Downward Spiral. He and Aya both realize the boy's reputation is wrong and end up helping him out, becoming his friends.
He had his own story planned, a sequel to Downward Spiral called "Crash and Burn". It never got beyond the prologue though.
Fang's perception of time is messed up due to his past. He can count minutes like others count seconds, and doesn't consider two days to be that long a time.
Aya taught him early on that humans are fragile, so he frets a bit over them going into danger or getting hurt. She also taught him about human needs like sleep and food! (She regrets this once he uses that info to make her rest.)
Fang is pretty much the only person of note in Theo's squad. Most don't want to join it due to Theo having a glitch that makes him go berserk if he panics, with some nicknaming it the "suicide unit" due to the high danger of friendly fire.
I named him Fang because of his red-and-white color scheme!
