Yaki is a catgirl who used to live in a tree house in the forest near a village! A carefree and cheerful girl, she'd often play with the kids in the village, one of which was Roko-Ro.
Being a child, Roko-Ro took part in pranking a passing witch with some others, but was caught and as a consequence, was cursed to be a plush toy for the witch's daughter to play with. He managed to escape when the witch went to continue her travels, and came to Yaki for help as the rest of the village didn't recognize him. Thus, Yaki and Roko-Ro set out on an adventure, in order to search out the witch and find a way to reverse the curse.
Roko-Ro acts as Yaki's common sense, in a way, being more apprehensive about her more dangerous ideas and overly trusting responses. He's not above pranks though (despite the witch incident) and often pretends to be a normal plush toy, both so he can startle unsuspecting strangers and avoid getting too much attention.
Other notes:
Yaki wears a belt with small bags and such on it. The bags contain useful items, random useless trinkets, coins, and so on depending on the bag. She also has a knife strapped to the belt.
Yaki has a bit of cleptomania! If it's small and shiny or jingly, she wants it. (This is why one bag contains useless trinkets.)
Roko-Ro is usually either holding onto Yaki or being held by her. Yaki isn't careful with him though, and holds him like you would an actual plush toy.
Yaki is rather shameless, being a child of the wilderness, and doesn't get embarrassed about anything. She's also the kind of person to do things like comb her hair with a fork instead of a brush.
